Why Hemp?

Hemp is one of the oldest cultivated fibres. To us it is, above all, a beautiful and versatile material.

Natural

Hemp fibre comes from the stalk of the plant. The fibres are separated, spun into yarn and woven into cloth.

The same fibre yields both a light shirting cloth and a dense canvas for bags.

Hemp is a strong fibre that holds up well to abrasion and repeated washing.

The surface softens with use and the tone settles — the product improves over the years.

Craftsmanship

We work with small European mills. Fabrics are washed before sewing so the finished piece feels soft from the first day and keeps its measurements.
